Cancellations & No-Shows

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for your pup. When an appointment is canceled or missed with little notice, it can be difficult to fill that time with another client.

• We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. 

• Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without notice will be subject to a $30 cancellation fee.

 

Pick-Up Policy

Prompt pickup helps us keep the salon calm, comfortable, and focused on the next pup.  

 

All owners will receive a 30-minute notice before their dog’s grooming is complete so they have time to make arrangements for pickup. Dogs are expected to be picked up within 30 minutes of grooming completion, and no later than one hour after the pickup notice is sent.

Example: If you receive a message at 12:00 PM saying, “Your dog will be ready in approximately 30 minutes,” we expect your dog to be picked up by 1:00 PM.

Need a later pickup? No problem! Later pickups may be accommodated when arranged at the time of booking.

Please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Health, Safety & Service Limitations

Service Limitations:

We may recommend veterinary attention when a condition is discovered that appears to require medical evaluation. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services when grooming is not reasonably safe or appropriate. You will be charged accordingly for services performed.

 

Health & Behavior:

Please inform us of any medical conditions, medications, allergies, sensitivities, injuries, or behavioral concerns before grooming. Dogs displaying aggressive or unsafe behavior may require modification, discontinuation, or refusal of service. Bark House Grooming Co. reserves the right to stop a service if continuing would pose a safety risk to the dog, client, or groomer.

 

Matting:

Severely matted coats may require shaving or a shorter haircut for the dog’s comfort and safety. Mat removal can expose previously hidden skin conditions, irritation, bruising, wounds, or hematomas. Removing severe matting carries an increased risk of nicks or cuts. Bark House

Grooming Co. cannot guarantee that injury will not occur during the matting removal process. Additional fees will apply for matting removal.

 

Senior & Special-Needs Dogs:

Older dogs and dogs with health conditions may have an increased risk of complications during grooming. Grooming may be modified, shortened, or stopped if we believe continuing could compromise the dog's safety.

 

Fleas & Ticks:

If fleas or ticks are discovered, the owner will be notified. A flea treatment may be required before regular grooming can continue, and additional fees will apply. Flea treatment performed by Bark House is not a substitute for veterinary care or ongoing veterinary-approved flea prevention.

Rabies Vaccination

All dogs receiving services at Bark House Grooming Co. must maintain a current rabies vaccination as required by applicable law. 

• Clients may be asked to provide proof of current vaccination at any time. 

Bark House Grooming Co. reserves the right to decline or postpone services if proof of current vaccination cannot be provided when requested.

 

Emergency Veterinary Care

In the event of an emergency, Bark House Grooming Co. will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner or emergency contact.

 

• If veterinary care becomes necessary while my pet is in Bark House Grooming Co.’s care and I cannot be reached, I authorize Bark House Grooming Co. to seek appropriate emergency veterinary care for my pet. 

• I understand that I am solely responsible for all veterinary expenses incurred.
